The annual Met Gala, formal name being the Costume Institute Gala (and also known as the Met Ball), was held this past Monday, May 5th, 2014 at the prestigious Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The Met Ball has always been a much anticipated event since its inaugural gala in 1971. It celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute’s fashion exhibit for the season and it is also considered to be one of the most exclusive and successful fundraising events of the year. This year was no exception as the Met Ball’s red carpet dazzled with the gowns and suits worn by the star studded guest list.

With this consideration in mind, you’ll be amazed at the looks you can come up with.
